The Proposal
January 2011. Corey and Lauren go for a walk on the beach in Oceanside. Just the day before, Corey had confessed to Lauren for the first time that he was interested in her. On this mournful morning Lauren explains to Corey "No." She's not interested in a romantic relationship with him nor does she foresee that she will ever be. FAST FORWARD - THREE YEARS LATER.
January 11, 2014. The stage is set for the most dramatic comeback in history. Corey has devised a plan to spend the weekend with Lauren and her family at their family beach house. Corey suggests that he and Lauren should go for a walk to the pier and she agrees. On the walk back Corey reveals he is carrying letters. Letters that he has written over the years to Lauren, some that she's received and some that she hasn't. One of the letters was written three years prior and was thrown away as Corey decided not to give the
expressed written confession of love to Lauren. But on this day she received them all along with a ring box hand made with shells collected on Corey's recent trip to St. Maarten with Lauren, and a shiny new ring. Lauren repeated "No" in disbelief before finally accepting the proposal with "Yes!" Lauren was then surprised back at the beach house by family, friends, and a party to celebrate the truly amazing underdog story.
